The Fulbright Program in Ukraine is pleased to invite you to a presentation of the book Dream Land by Lily Hyde, to be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, 6:30 p.m., at the Ukrainian News Press Center (20 Esplanadna Street, 1st floor, M "Palats Sportu", Kyiv).

Dream Land: One Girl's Struggle to Find Her True Home

The compelling story of the return of the Crimean Tatars to their homeland in the early 1990s from the perspective of Safi, a 12-year-old girl who comes back with her parents, brother, and grandfather to her family's now destroyed village in Crimea from their exile in Uzbekistan.

Originally published in English,  Dream Land has been translated into several languages including Ukrainian.

Lily HYDE is a British writer and freelance journalist who has been living and travelling in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and the far east for over ten years. Lily's journalism on Ukraine has been widely published in the international media; she also works as a consultant in public health and HIV/AIDS.

The presentation will be conducted in English.
